7 Day tour - THE ORKNEY ISLANDS
LAND OF THE VIKINGS

This Adventure takes us to the Orkney Islands by riding through the north west highlands of Scotland. We visit the highest waterfall in Britain at Kylesku and the famous Smoo Cave at Durness.

We take two full days to reach Scrabster where we join the ferry for Stromess on Orkney. These islands have a very visible history dating back to 5000BC. From Scara Brae, the Neolithic village, to the more recent history of wars fought at sea – Scapa Flow being the natural harbour used in the Napoleonic and first and second world wars. The sunken ships that form the Churchill Barriers still remain. The towering Old Man of Hoy is an awesome sight and the cliffs that take your breath away are swarming with thousands of seabirds. Big North Atlantic seals and lots more!

We return from Orkney via John o' Groats and the Grampian Mountains. This tour takes us around the whole of the north of Scotland. Biking roads made in Valhalla.
