8 DAY TOUR
THE OUTER LIMITS - BEACHES ON THE MOON
THE HEBRIDES

We ride west to Oban, gateway to the isles, and board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry – all part of this fantastic Adventure as we sail up the Sound of Mull possibly seeing porpoises, seals and whales. Passing Ardnamurchan, the furthest point west on the UK mainland, we meet the Captain on the bridge – quite a view from there! We sail north west passing the beautiful Inner Hebridean Islands of Coll, Tiree, Skye, Rum, Eigg and Muck on our way to Barra, the island of 'Whisky Galore' and the famous Kisimul Castle in Castlebay.

Riding over causeways from South Uist to Benbecula and North Uist we find ourselves in another world. Sea and loch cling closely to this landscape where time seems to stand still. Next stop westwards, America – 3,000 miles.

We board the ferry across the sound of Harris changing course 19 times in 9 miles. Full of small islands, birds and sea life, and arrive on South Harris which is truly the Outer Limits – Beaches on the Moon. Taransay lies in the turquoise distance, Donald John still weaves the famous Harris Tweed. Pale beaches stretch for miles.
Weather permitting and for those that wish to, we can arrange a trip to remote St Kilda.

Yet further north to Lewis and the Standing Stones of Callanish and the rebuilt highland village of blackhouses. We cross the Minch to the mainland from Stornoway.

Next stunning Wester Ross with the highest and most spectacular road in the highlands – rises 2.050 feet from sea level in 6 miles – you think you are flying!
Back down through the glens with castles and lochs. Truly the magic of the highlands – you will not forget this Adventure.
