5 Day TOUR
ISLAY AND JURA – THE MALT ISLES

We ride west to Loch Lomond and up the mountain pass named 'Rest and be Thankful'. At West Loch Tarbert we board the ferry for a two hour sail to Islay, famous for its distilleries with such famous names as Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg and many more. Yes, we will visit one.

This island is the ancient seat of the Lord of the Isles and we visit one of his strongholds at Finlaggan. We cross to the remote and spectacular island of Jura with a polulation of 200 - more deer and eagles than people!

We base ourselves at a quality island hotel – beaches, boats and booze on the temperate isles of the Gulf Stream. Weather permitting, a boat trip to the famous Corryvreckan whirlpool.
